In case of an emergency during regular business hours, if possible please call our French Quarter hospital at (504) 322-7030 to let our staff know you are coming and what the emergency is so we can be properly prepared to treat your animal's needs.  Let us know at this time if you would like us to check parking availability for you.  If an emergency occurs after regular business hours, Dr. Griffith can be contacted on his cell phone at (504) 250-1175.

If you get Dr. Griffith's voice mail on his cell phone after hours, in addition to leaving him a voice message, please TEXT him if possible as he may be in the middle of treating a patient. He can more quickly retrieve the text message and respond.

When leaving a message, please state if your pet is an active patient of our hospital as Dr. Griffith can remotely access your pet's medical record via the internet regardless of his location. (Our medical records are completely computerized, just like today's modern human hospitals) This can be a precious time saver if it relates to a medical condition that we have been treating.

After hours emergency consultations are for existing clients only.  If your pet has not been seen by our hospital previously, please contact Southeast Veterinary Specialists at 504-219-0444 for after hours services.
